I recently acquired a relatively new item from yours truly: 'Lens Paintpot' (a nice little utility piece it is too, obviously ideal for any Magic Painting routine).

Whilst the routine or ideas for use of the prop are very good, one other little addition which I work around my particular routine is to do the 'old' paddle move (yes, you remember the one!) Display the plain side of the brushes with the 'striped' & 'spotted' heads (this obviously gives the illusion of an otherwise plain coloured head.)

However, if you casually scratch your nose with the brush in the same hand you are actually turning the 'comedy' side to face your audience. Now you don't need me to tell you how many times this can be repeated. I did this move quite by chance but, as with a lot of bits of patter and other business, it's nice when something unrehearsed gets an extra giggle, as it were. Go ahead give it a go. Have fun.
