Kidology Convention 2010

Here are the details  for Kidology UK 2010, which will again be held at the Civic and Wulfrun Halls in Wolverhampton, on Tuesday, September 7th 2010.  Registration price is £35.00 per person and includes a buffet lunch. Registration allows access to all events. 

This year, there are going to be 3 main lectures as opposed to the 4 we have had every year so far. However, in addition to the 3 main lectures, there will be 4 half hour mini-lectures which will take place in rooms off the main hall. These mini-lectures will take place simultaneously, but will then be repeated. Registrants will be able to select 2 of these to attend. Another change this year is that dealers will remain open whilst the mini-lectures take place, but will close for the main lectures.

Here is this year’s line-up:

Mini-lecture 1 Dov Citron: What a Character! or character-driven entertainment for your parties;

Mini-lecture 2 Steve Dimmer: Taking Utility Props off the Back Burner or how to get the most from these props;

Mini-lecture 3 Mike Bradshaw: Christmas Winners with Tricky Micky – competitions and games for Christmas;

Mini-lecture 4 Olly Chaston: So You Want to Use a Puppet? or puppetry for beginners.

And the 3 main lectures:

Gary Dunn: Entertaining with Nothing…Almost! How to entertain with virtually no props. Gary has a wealth of experience in holiday camps but there’s a place for some of his ideas in everyone’s show;

Craig Petty: Close-Up Magic for Kids. Craig has (quite rightly) a very high profile at the moment and, for this lecture, we intend to bring in a camera and large screen;

Alan Shaxon: My Kind of Kids’ Shows. Former President of the Magic Circle, Alan will be presenting classic magic for kids.
